About the artist

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Born in Switzerland, in the Canton of Bern, Adelheid was exposed very early on to the knowledge and practice of arts. She quickly developed a passion for figurative arts, creating sculptures in various materials and painting on furniture or ceramics. Photography is also to this day one of her favorite hobbies. Living in different parts of the world contributed to broadening her horizon and to enriching her knowledge and creativity, exposing her to the most varied artistic expressions. In London, early on, she could discover great works of art in the museums whilst developing in the artistic scene of the 60ties. In India, she was exposed to Asian art and deep dived into the Indian philosophy and culture. In the Bahamas she enjoyed the colorful life of the Caribbean Sea bottom and in Italy the encounter with millennial art added to this rich palette. Finally, in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, working at the institutions of the European Union, she lived in a varied international community. Her theological and philosophical studies on an adult age at the bilingual University of Fribourg in Switzerland, have also been fundamental in contributing to her search of truth and freedom today transposed on her artistic creating.
